July 1986, I'm two years old.

On the banks of the Dordogne, Thierry and Marie-Martine spend their last summer together. For reasons that will remain a mystery, love is over and Marie-Martine wants sole custody of their son. In order to forget, Thierry leaves to rebuild his life in Ryadh, Saudi Arabia.

June 2017, Marie-Martine is swept away by the waters of the Dordogne. After many years without any contact with my father, I feel it is important to get back in touch. If only to tell him the sad news. One month later, I received several scanned photographic films. One of them is called : 1986, ERREUR SUPERPOSÉES.

About Maël

Born in Paris in June 1984, Maël G. Lagadec quickly developed a passion for sounds and images. Through filmic, photographic and audio explorations, he delicately reveals the facets of an aesthetic spectrum that dilutes the boundary between the emotional body and the imaginary world. A reckless and contemplative traveller, his work has won awards in the USA, Italy, Romania, India, Belgium and France. He now lives and works in Brussels.
